Nestled in an attractive terrace at the end of a serene garden, my room offered a comfortable retreat, complementing the elegance of the main house, which looks far more charming than its façade suggests. The breakfast was freshly prepared with a varied menu catering to diverse palates, and I particularly appreciated the unlimited coffee refills - a treat for any coffee enthusiast like myself. The staff, notably Ellie, demonstrated professionalism and attentiveness, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere without being overbearing. With its prime location just a short stroll from the vibrant centre and the picturesque river, there is no shortage of boutique shops, restaurants, and pubs to explore. Upon returning to the hotel, the intimate lounge area with a honesty bar provided a lovely space to unwind after a day of adventures. In assessing the value proposition of Darwin's Townhouse, I can confidently recommend it as a sound choice for those seeking quality without exorbitant costs, striking a pleasing balance between comfort and pricing.
